The goal of this section is to give you all the informations about diplomacy in Europe.

This week on Monday

Because of my work, I'm very upset and tired on Thursday and Friday. Since the end of August, I published This week each two weeks. Now I decided to move This week on Monday and I will be able to publish it each week.

Borås Spelkonvent : November 2-4

The Borås Spelkonvent is the Swedish NDC and step of the European Grand Prix. It started today and will finish on Sunday afternoon. Who will won? Answer soon...

NK Voorronde Leeuwarden : Results

The NK Voorronde is qualifying tournament for the Dutch Championship (Nederland Kampioenschap = NK). There are 2 NK Voorronde and the 3 best players of each are qualified for the Final. The last player qualified for the final is the Dutch Chamion.
For this second Voorronde, 10 players were here and we decided to play a long game with 7 players. After 8 years, Dirk Bruinsma, Ron Huising and Kors Visscher finished at the 3 first place.
This year, Pieter Ytsma, Rene Van rooijen, Ronald Lokers, Dirk Bruinsma, Ron Huising, Kors Visscher and Thijs Feenstra are qualified for the final. The final will take place on December 15, in Utrecht (in the Joker)

Danish NDC : Results

The previous weekend, the Danish NDC took place in Hobro. 11 players were here and 3 boards were played. Gwen Maggi won it, followed by Jakob Bavnshoj and David Brauner. Gwen Maggi remains at the first position of the European Grand Prix and seems in a good way to win the Grand Prix this year.
There are only 3 steps now : Sweden (2-4 November), Norway (November 23-25) and France (December 8-9).
I want to thank Jakob for the great job he did. Now, it's official, Danish hobby is back!

DiploNam, Fossombrone, Nancy : November 10-11

The next weekend, three tournaments will take place in Europe.
- The DiploNam, in Namur, will be the last step of the tour de Belgique. As each year, come to spend a good time with the Belgium players.
- Les Joutes du Téméraires will take place in Nancy (France). Lei Saarlainen will organise it.
- The last step of the Campionato Italo San Marinese will take place in Fossombrone.

French NDC : December 8-9

This year, the French NDC will be the last step of the European Grand and of the Tour de France. The tournament will take place inside Paris, in the hotel "La louisiane". There will have 4 rounds (2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday) with a top board. On Friday, everybody is invited to come to drink something and to play to several games.
8 non-French speaking players will come (2 English, 2 Dutch, 2 German, 1 Norwegian, 1 American) and it will be the final fight for the European Grand Prix, with Stefan Unger, Gwen Maggi, Emmanuel du Pontavice... So don't miss it!

WorldDipCon 2008 : Burg Lockenhaus, Austria

Norway Simen Fure Jorgensen works to the organisation of the Norwegian NDC (Step of the Grand Prix). It will take place on November 23-25.

The Netherland The Final of the Nederland Championship will take place in Utrecht, on December 15. For more information, contact Frank Oosterom.
Each month, Diplomacy's game are organised in the Joker in Utrecht. The next game will be on November 10. More informations on the webiste.
