Borås Spelkonvent : November 2-4

The Borås Spelkonvent will be the Swedish NDC and step of the European Grand Prix. Organized by Tage Bengtsson and Björn Westling.
C-diplo-related scoring, 4 rounds, no top board.
Team tournament Saturday morning. Diptimer, and all the common stuff,

Accomodation either by using the cheap solution: sleeping in the big sleeping hall at the convention together with 1-200 other game freaks. (Bring your own sleeping bag!)
Or, using the nearby (200 yards) hotel, supplying rooms for 275-600 SEK (30-65 Euros per night) depending of number of persons in room. Early registration recommended, not many rooms around. Finding other rooms on the town might be tricky since the city is full of activities this weekend.

Borås is a 40 minute busride from Landvetter airport, and about 2 hours of common transportation away from Göteborg City (Ryan Air) airport.
Email for closer information.
International players coming to play solely at the Diplomacy NDC gets free registration provided they announce their participation ahead of convention start.
If international players wants to take part in ANY other activities organized at the convention, full convention fee is charged. (Registration before oct 20th EUR 22, thereafter EUR 33.)
Email to tbmark10@yahoo.se for registration, questions or additional info.

Danish NDC : This weekend

The convention hosting the GP is Hyggecon in Hobro (no homepage yet), on the 18.- 21. oktober. The timeschedule will be something like this:
Thursday: Round one
Friday late evening: Round two
Saturday day: Round three
Saturday evening: Banquet (great food, dancing, girls in fancy dresses...)
Sunday day: Round four, and then awards

Hyggecon was originally a larp-convention, but in the recent years rpg, warhammer battle and boardgames have been a part of the convention.
Hyggecon takes place in Østerskov Efterskole there is a very special boardingschool. It its probably the only school (in the world?), where we use gaming (larp, rpg, card and boardgames) as the fundamental educational tool.
Bonus: I have been in contact with VikingCon in Copenhagen. And we have planned a round zero on that convention. Se the schedule for VC on their website when ready.
On the final note, I can say I have made a danish website http://diplomacy-dk.blogspot.com/, where news about the grand prix and Diplomacy in Denmark will be postet.
