Manorcon XXV : this weekend

After 24 years in Birmingham, this year sees ManorCon move to a new venue for it's 25th anniversary. The convention, including the infamous Diplomacy Tournament, will be held at Stamford Hall, University of Leicester.
Leicester is about 30 miles North-East of Birmingham. For those coming via London, there is a train service to Leicester which takes under 2 hours. For those coming into Birmingham or East Midlands airport, there is a direct bus service to Leicester. Once in Leicester, there is a frequent bus service from the City Centre to the venue.
As ever, the tournament will take place over three rounds, the first starting at 6pm on Friday, and the prizegiving finishing by 7pm on Sunday. Saturday will be the infamous ManorCon Team tournament.
The deadline for bookings has now closed, but you are welcome to turn up and book on the door, and we have plenty of accommodation available for sale on the door.
In it's 24 years, ManorCon has been won no less than five times by a foreign player, four of those in the last seven years. So whether you are ooking for Grand Prix points or just some fun games of Diplomacy, ManorCon is the place to be on 20-23rd July 2007.
